Llano Crawfish Open

Float Flying at Llano Crawfish Festival

SATURDAY, APRIL 19^th – 8:00 am to 3:00 pm

Llano River, Robinson City Park, Llano, Texas - Float flying demonstrations by club pilots off the river, and static displays of radio controlled model aircraft in conjunction with the Llano Crawfish Festival. Spectators welcome. Free entry. Sample the Festival’s crawfish with ample trimmings, or check out local dining opportunities.

Flights of Fancy
Saturday, July 5^th – 10:00 am to 2:00 pm

Hank Nilsen Model Aircraft Field near Kingsland, TX

Highland Lakes Flyers stages this event as an opportunity for the public to observe radio controlled model aircraft flying activities. Experienced instructors will provide opportunities for kids 16 and younger to take a turn at the flight controls. Continuous flight demonstrations by club pilots, static displays of radio controlled aircraft, free flight instruction, refreshments available, free entry. Conducted in conjunction with Kingsland Chamber of Commerce Aqua Boom Celebration.

Llano River Open Float Fly
Saturday & Sunday, September 13^th & 14^th
8:00 am to 4:00 pm

Sponsored by Highland Lakes Flyers, this event is open to all AMA members interested in flying off the water. Flying takes place off the south bank of the Llano River at the City of Llano’s Robinson Park which offers an excellent, spot for float flying activities. A small pilot fee is required. No charge for spectators. The public is welcome. Free parking. Refreshments available. Food service available at nearby restaurants. Limited RV hookups onsite, other RV hookups locally.

Annual Swap Meet

Saturday, August 16^th – 8:30 am to 3:00 pm

Highland Lakes Flyers’ Annual Swap Meet is held at (LCRA’s) Lower Colorado River Authority’s Building, 8347 Ranch Road 1431, Buchanan Dam, Texas, 78609. Entry fee, which includes one table, is $5.00. Kids under 12 free. Food and refreshments available on site or at nearby restaurants. Open to all interested parties. Bring RC equipment you’d like to sell. There will be an abundance of RC items for sale.
